Digital PR Manager - Coca-Cola Company - Tokyo


Job description
This role has two important roles:

・ Oversee all digital public relations (e.g. digital communications and social media) (60% approx.)
・ Oversee brand communications (40% approx.)

This role also closely work with the US headquarters’ digital team to learn their best practices and execute the strategy which is best for Japan business unit. This role enhances the digital culture among Public Affairs & Communications team by trainings, etc. and contributes to the capability building to nurture next digital strategist.

As a core member of the Japan business unit’s Public Affairs & Communications team, this role provides critical leadership to Japan business unit’s Public Affairs & Communications functions and will lead the creation and activation of brand communications. This role also closely works with other Public Affairs & Communications functions as well as integrated marketing communication function to amplify the news to external audience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
・ Develop, manage and execute Japan business unit’s digital public relations efforts as a key member of Japan business unit’s Public Affairs & Communications team, including the “Journey”. Oversee the development of compelling, engaging and interactive content for the Japan business unit’s digital platforms
・ Manage a project against a plan and objectives to ensure commitments are met by monitoring, assessing, and resolving variances in budget, timing or quality of work
・ Manage and develop Japan business unit’s relationship with leading digital influencers
・ Create appropriate communications materials (e.g., speeches, brochures, reports, news releases, blog posts, strategic plans, web sites and other on-line information, video and photography) for all audiences
・ Advise our employees on their social media usage and presences
・ Develop, manage and execute brand communication(s) within the Japan business unit’s Public Affairs & Communications team framework. Manage a project against an integrated marketing communications plan and objectives to ensure commitments are met by monitoring, assessing, and resolving variances in budget, timing or quality of work
・ Oversee the development of compelling, engaging and interactive content for the Japan business unit’s earned media platforms. Serve as Japan business unit’s spokesperson to the media for announcements in order to manage the Japan business unit’s communication and to ensure one voice to external audiences

Supervisory Responsibilities:
・ No (Individual Contributor)

Language Capability:
・ Native level of Japanese
・ Business level of English

Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required:
・ 4-7 years’ work experiences in marketing PR or brand (product) PR area required
・ Good IT/computer literacy (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
・ Work experience of all digital public relations (e.g. digital communications and social media) a plus

Minimum Educational Requirements:
・ University degree –at least 4 year university degree
