Job description
Apple is looking for a Senior Panel Process Engineer to lead the engineering activities to develop new processes and designs for the flat panel displays used in award-winning Apple products.

Key Qualifications

The candidates will need to have hands-on experience and proven track record in the relevant areas in flat panel industry

Demonstrated ability to perform TFT backplane process DOE, SPC and failure analysis is a must
Experienced in a basic display process technology and failure analysis on a-Si TFT, oxide TFT and/or LTPS TFT
Background with TFT device engineering, TFT LCD/OLED circuits, system on glass simulation experience and capability of TFT circuit innovation is preferred
Knowledge of display, electrical and optical operations, TFT-LCD/AMOLED structures and display optics is required, or
Display experience, either in panel design, array process, or AM-OLED.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills and people skills are required
The willingness and ability to travel are required

Description

As a Senior Panel Process Engineer, you will serve as a focal point in the designing and the process development of advanced display panels from the concept to the product ramp.
Work closely with the Apple HQ Team in California and Apple industrial partners in Asia to design and develop the new flat panel devices that enable the best display performance of products
Achieve the best design goal using an optimized manufacturing process for a high volume production
Lead engineering investigations on TFT array process, structure stack up and other advanced technology for new displays
Optimize and improve existing TFT backplane processes for new Apple products
Analyze trade-offs among the performance, manufacturability, schedule and cost
Work closely with display module lead, electrical engineer & product designer for the display design & processes, thin-film stack up and the resultant display modules
Work with the Operation Team to drive the suppliers to establish the process baseline, optimize the process window, and establish the robust manufacturing infrastructure

Education

Ph.D. degree in engineering plus a minimum 3 years experience, or MS degree plus a minimum of 5 years experience
