Director - Sales Operations - Red Hat - Tokyo
Job description
The Red Hat Operations team is seeking a Director, Sales Operations to join us in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will lead the design and support of all operations processes in Japan, including internal consulting, management planning, daily business management, and commission management. You'll also be responsible for high-value work like business process analysis and administrative work for the regional team. This is a great opportunity to work in collaboration with Red Hat Operations specialists worldwide.
Primary job responsibilities
Work out change management activities after new system and process roll out, e.g. support Sales in using the new system, hold follow-up training sessions, and update FAQs on the intranet
Analyze and identify issues on the current partner order or renewal process
Define and implement solutions, including system enhancement and implementation
Create solutions to maximize client face time
Localize and deploy new processes and systems aligned with Red Hat's policy
Support the growth strategy and business plan, and implement growth initiatives
Oversee business planning sessions, and take minutes
Join growth initiative projects as a team member and lead tasks in these initiatives
Analyze business trends and current or past pipeline status, and provide feedback to management
Provide sufficient information to the management team and solve operational issues to achieve quarterly business targets
Create weekly booking forecasts, and keep the management system accurate
Support the Sales team in solving operational issues
Provide end-to-end service for sales commissions from quota allocation to validation or calculation of sales commissions
Manage the overall Japan Operations team, including the sales operations and order fulfillment management groups
Required skills
15+ years of professional experience, with 5 of those years spent successfully building, managing, and developing teams in a relevant sales or sales support organization
15+ years of experience in sales operations with an excellent understanding of the end-to-end sales cycle, preferably in a software company
Advanced quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment
Passion for learning and creative problem solving
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Native-level Japanese language skills and intermediate-level English language skills
