Job summary
The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for Middleware (JBoss) Consultant to perform on-site delivery and implementation of products and offerings. As the key Red Hat representative on site for Red Hat Consulting (RHC), the person in this role will have a diverse and thorough understanding of middleware and open source solutions, as well as demonstrated experience applying those technologies successfully. This consultant is expected to have superb technical and communication skills, facilitating successful delivery of projects such as: providing reference architectures, proof of concepts, benchmarks, training sessions, designs, automation programs or scripts, performance enhancements, documentation, product patches, and other assistance as needed. You'll use Red Hat’s unparalleled training courses to stay on the leading edge of middleware technologies and advance your technical leadership.

Job responsibilities
Address the client's technical, development, and strategic IT requirements as the main point-of-contact for Red Hat professional services
Track and manage projects including status, issues, and time reporting
Consult with clients to work on problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware and software specification and design, implementation, testing, client training, and deployment of open source solutions
Use industry practices along side Red Hat's policies and procedures to solve diverse problems problems
Analyze data to evaluate key factors in problem solving
Make judgment calls to select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Desired Skills and Experience
Excellent technical skills and experience designing and implementing J2EE solutions
In-depth experience with at least one of the major middleware solutions; preferably Red Hat JBoss Middleware, but experience in WebLogic, WebSphere, WebMethods, Tibco, etc. is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience communicating value, progress, and status of key projects to both business minded and technically savvy audiences
Ability and desire to learn new technologies independently, and apply new concepts to problems
Ability to work as part of a geographically dispersed team, demonstrating flexibility, autonomy, and a desire to make things happen
Knowledge of Hibernate and Tomcat considered an advantage
