Sales Director - Sophos - Tokyo
Job description
As a Sales Director you will be responsible for managing, coaching, and developing a sales organization. Sales organization covers partner sales and high touch sales to maximize sales performance in Japan market. You are responsible for making the engagement rule within sales organization, making the business plan based on “channel-first” vision of Sophos, and hire, develop and enable them to be successful.
Duties & Responsibilities
Meet and exceed assigned revenue quota expectations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Deliver consistent, monthly, quarterly results and year over year growth.
Must be able to develop and execute a plan with his or her team to broadly and deeply engage with partner and customer executives on a consistent and ongoing basis. Great partner and customer relationships should be the result across Japan.
Maintain and execute a proactive personnel management plan with the resources in Japan sales team.
Create an empowered, highly skilled, high performance team and practice a policy of “leading from the front.”
Leverage a well thought out opportunity and partner engagement plan to rapidly develop partner into revenue contribution and rapidly move opportunities through the pipeline. Must be able to motivate the team to meet and exceed its sales target.
Articulate customer/prospect/channel feedback from the market to relevant groups with Sophos
Possessing intellectual curiosity, an innovative spirit, and passion for Sophos solutions a must
Success Management
Managing and coaching the whole sales team to maximize sales performance
Working towards and achieving country sales targets in a “channel-first” business model
Developing and executing business plan for Japan market.
Establish network of relationships with customer and partner senior executives
Managing the whole sales process, including customer acquisition, development and retention
Accurate sales forecasting
Desired Skills and Experience
Requires 8+ years of partner sales management experience
Demonstrable track record of creating and managing high performance Sales teams
Several years’ experience in the High Technology sector in sales organization
Management responsibility with direct experience in building a successful sales organization, channel structure, programs and people culture.
Able to articulate vision, solutions and concepts to senior executives in partner and customer.
Achievement and Results driven whilst being able to build and maintain relationships
Business level English communication skill
Experience in sales management in channel sales organization in security software and/or with UTM or other HW appliance company
Experience in developing productive and mutually beneficial partnerships
Executive engagement with C level executive in partner and customer
Developing short and mid term business plan for Japan market and EXECUTE it
Experience in hiring, developing and coaching sales team
