Google Cloud Platform is changing the way the world uses cloud computing by exposing our best-in-class infrastructure backed by the team that brought us MapReduce, Dremel, Colossus, Spanner, etc. We’re growing very fast and looking to hire the Global Head of our Vertical Sales and Go To Market team who will build awareness about Google Cloud Platform in specific industry verticals and help IT and business leaders make the switch to the cloud. You will inspire customers with your expertise and thought leadership in cloud computing. You will help drive awareness of our solutions at leading industry conferences and Google events. Your enthusiasm, technical and business depth and strategic business generation and business development skills will help decision makers understand the benefits of Google Cloud Platform and drive growth and customer success.

Responsibilities
Lead a diverse, high-performing team to achieve quarterly and annual quotas: manage team’s priorities, and allocate work across the team, balancing user experience, product and support objectives with operational and technical capabilities.
Work with other Google teams to develop and drive pipeline, provide contract guidance and contract execution
Work with Cloud Platform Partners to develop GTM strategies and campaigns to drive new pipeline and business growth.
Represent Google at trade shows and industry events.
Leverage Google sales engineering and marketing resources and provide input on current collateral materials and ideas on how to improve them.

Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technology field or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of relevant contract experience, including 3 years platform or infrastructure as a service experience.
Business level communication in Japanese and English.



Preferred qualifications
5 years of experience managing and leading a team; ability to develop and inspire team members, and drive business results.
Experience building and managing a sales team to exceed quota.
Experience developing and implementing successful country level sales, GTM and partnership strategies.
Understanding of how various cloud technologies work together to be able to drive deeper technology adoption within the existing account base, including big data, software architecture and emerging technology trends.
Deep understanding of platform and infrastructure as a service marketplaces, key players and technical factors driving competitive landscape.
Outstanding influencing and communication skills; ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners and influence senior leaders.
