Director - IoT Service & Delivery Business Development - PTC - Tokyo


Job description
YOUR RESPONSIBILITES:

Understand Customer’s IoT initiatives and develop a point of view on how PTC’s IoT technology can support the initiatives

Identify the needs of clients and provide outstanding service while adhering to PTC’s core values and standards.


Sell, plan and manage multiple PTC IoT service and delivery engagement with their customers

Drive initial value propositions for PTC solutions to the client through effective proposals.

Participate in sales calls, meetings, and workshops.

Document services engagements through high quality Statements of Work (SOWs)

Negotiate new services, renewals, upgrades and additional services with strategic customers and new customers, working closely with the sales, Technical Sales, GS peers, legal and the finance teams.

Play an integral part in Client Account development in conjunction with PTC Sales Representatives, responsible for growing the PTC Services engagement about their Internet of Things solutions with their clients

Articulate PTC’s services methodology and value proposition to instil confidence in our Clients and be viewed by the Client as the credible advisor for implementation.

Lead the Global Services account team with the Program/Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of their client’s programs.

Responsible for developing meaningful relationships, the manifestation of which is to be looked at as a trusted advisor: build client trust, credibility and commitment.

Direct and manage the wider Global Services resources (Business Developers, Program/Project Managers, Implementation Consultants, Learning Consultants) into their client accounts.

Responsible for supporting the education of the GS Ecosystem (Market Leads, Program/Project Managers, Architects, and Consultants) on the IoT Services Practice and IoT Services portfolio.

Responsible for supporting the GS portfolio team in creating innovative IoT Services and Training portfolio offerings

Desired Skills and Experience
Engineering diploma (ideally Master degree in computer science, mechanical engineering or telecommunications)

Consulting background, followed by a sound experience in services delivery

Startup mentality; ability to problem solve; success in dealing with ambiguity

Business development or sales skills with experience IoT, M2M or Connectivity areas a plus

Experience in project estimation, project planning, project oversight, and project contracting

Experience in working with services partners and subcontractors

IoT program management background would be good

Ability to build relationship and become a trusted advisor to the customer

Very strong interpersonal skills; ability to blend people into teams and create team spirit
