Recruitment Manager - Groupon - Japan - Shibuya
Job description
Reporting to the APAC Head of Talent Acquisition, the Recruitment Manager is accountable for developing and implementing the Talent Acquisition strategies to identify internal or external candidates. The position requires a business perspective and a thorough understanding of Groupon’s goals, vision, culture and environment.
The Recruitment Manager must provide functional leadership when consulting with the Country Manager and his management team on strategies and talent acquisition processes. They will also be responsible for leading and developing an existing team member to continue to hire the talent into our business.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high quality recruitment services to Groupon Japan hiring managers for both vacant and future requirements.
Design and implement the sourcing strategy in partnership with the hiring managers, which is entrepreneurial and cost effective.
Lead and develop an existing team member.
Proactive and consultative stakeholder management.
Participate in APAC projects including; process improvements, social media, Employee Value Proposition, recruitment system selection and implementation, internal mobility within Japan and across the 12 countries in the region.
Influencing and negotiation to hire the best talent both in the internal and external market.
Strong understanding of local and regional markets.
Provide a high level of candidate care by ensuring frequent communication to all candidates for both current and talent pool candidates.
Participate on the APAC centre of excellence (COE) fortnightly calls.
Comply with internal recruitment systems & procedures.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree combined with an understanding of local employment law.
Confident fluent communicator in both Japanese and English (TOEIC score above 850).
Minimum of 6 years in a full life cycle recruitment role.
Proven experience of both direct recruitment and agency management.
Experience in managing or mentoring within the recruitment industry
Experience or exposure to recruitment in Hi-tech/E-commerce industry will be preferred.
Should have experience in networking using social media communities such as LinkedIn etc.
Proven ability to map the market to build qualified and potential pipelines.
