At least 7 years of design and / or manufacturing experience
Excellent project management skills
Engineering degree or other quantitative background and equivalent experience
Exceptional listening and presentation skills. Able to communicate clearly with all levels internally and externally, can produce executive summaries or technical details when needed
Experience driving OEM/ODM/EMS partners and high volume production and test
Able to travel frequently to support builds and management reviews at supplier factory sites
Fluent in English and in one or more Asian language to support counterparts in respective locations across Asia

EPMs (Camera Engineering Program managers) have wide perspective to listen and influence across many cross functional teams, not only communicating issues but also finding solutions (and backup plans) that keep programs on track and reduce risk. We manage risk smartly and know how and where to pull in help.

Additional Requirements

A passion for photography and consumer products
Familiarity with CMOS image sensors and SOCs
Knowledge of cameras, optics, and lenses
Knowledge of semiconductor package process technologies and equipment - Ability to read mechanical design drawings and tolerances
Ability to read circuit designs and multilayer layouts
Fluency in the tools of quality assurance, control plans, distributions, etc.
Camera, phone, or other electronics test development
Camera design, development or project management experience
Mobile phone system design; specifically system integration and manufacturing experience

Quality Program Manager - AppleCare - Apple - Tokyo


Job description
The AppleCare Tech Support Vendor Quality Program Manager is responsible for helping AppleCare Vendor sites to improve Customer Satisfaction and Quality performance as measured by customer satisfaction results combined with transaction monitoring program calibration and accuracy. Quality Program Managers are responsible for performing root cause analysis and working with contact center and vendor management to create programs to address these underlying causes through initiatives that show measurable results. The Quality Program Manager is also responsible for ensuring that vendor personnel who manage AppleCare Advisors can successfully provide their Advisors with the necessary coaching and feedback to achieve business targets. The QPM will follow a structured process for identifying issues and help the vendor sites to create action plans that will ensure solutions can be measured and evaluated for effectiveness. The focus will be on process and procedural issues that prevent AppleCare from hitting high performance quality targets at the program level, but solutions will also be directed at site, team, and individual agent performance as necessary to maintain consistency throughout the contact center and to help the contact center achieve performance goals.

Description

The responsibilities of the AppleCare Tech Support Vendor Quality Program Manager position include, but are not limited to:
• Ensure compliance with appropriate logging behaviors and perform weekly root cause analysis of customer dissatisfaction and ensure action plans are in place to improve CSAT
• Ensure compliance with transaction monitoring goals and perform monthly root cause analysis of transaction monitoring attributes with low accuracy and ensure action plans are in place to improve accuracy
• Ensure full participation by all evaluators in transaction monitoring calibration and perform monthly root cause analysis of reasons for low calibration
• Meet regularly with vendor quality personnel and other evaluators to ensure understanding of transaction monitoring form and guidelines
• Hold joint call monitoring sessions to promote intra-site calibration on appropriate coaching strategies for specific Advisor behaviors
• Regular call monitoring and auditing of vendor call evaluations to encourage accurate scoring
• Help vendors develop action plans to reduce variation in Advisor performance with regard to core metrics that impact CSAT and Quality
• Ensure key metrics are collected, have integrity, are understood and acted upon appropriately within the contact center
• Coordination with training team to develop supplemental training and/or modification of new agent training as necessa

Product Design Engineer - Apple - Tokyo


Job description
As a member of a cross-functional design team at Apple, you will help to create the next generation of the world's finest handheld devices.

Key Qualifications

Must be mechanical engineering background
3-10 years experience in product design (preferably consumer electronic products)
Experience with component modules (LCD assemblies, batteries, camera modules, etc.) and their interconnect (FPC design and ACF bonding)
Experience working with overseas manufacturers
Requires demonstrated ability in plastic and metal part design
3-D CAD skills
Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing
Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to use statistical tools and techniques
Working knowledge of finite element analysis theory and general mechanical engineering analysis
Flexibility and comfort working in a quickly changing environment
Preferred Experience:
Handheld/portable device experience
Integration of wireless antenna (GSM, GPS, Wifi) into mechanical enclosures a big plus
Glass/Ceramics manufacturing knowledge desired
Broad understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
Design of audio subsystems (microphone, speaker, receiver) desired
Unigraphics or Pro-engineer fluency desirable (3D CAD)
Experience outlining and filing patents preferred

Build Engineer - Apple - Tokyo


Job description
Build engineers are at the core of the Apple Software Development Process in delivering the best operating system and applications to Apple customers. The role requires coordination and collaboration with many Apple personnel from Software, Hardware, Localization, QA, Documentation, Operations, and Engineering Program Managers (EPMs) to build and release software. Our team provides support for iOS and OS X.

Key Qualifications

OS X, iOS, or UNIX development experience.
Knowledge of Perl and/or shell scripting.
UNIX administration and strong software debugging skills.
Knowledge of operating system, network, and compiler concepts.

Description

Specific responsibilities include:
* Performing daily software builds of iOS and OS X products.
* Troubleshooting and resolving complex software integration issues.
* Working with Apple development teams to configure project code base.
* Developing tools and processes to improve and automate workflow.
* Working cross functionally with teams across Apple to ship products.
* Maintaining and integrating automation tools.
* Authoring installers and debugging install logic.
* Installing and living on newest software releases.
* Filing and resolving bugs as quickly as possible.
