Job Description
The person in this role will report to the Director of JP Fashion CX (Customer Experience). S/he will closely co-work with international and domestic counterparts; i.e. GISC (Global Image Standard Committee) in US, JP Softline Retail team across categories – apparel/shoes/bag/watch/Jewelry, JP Imaging & Creative team (ACS/Product Imaging), and JP Marketing/PR.

This role will require deep experience of fashion/styling both editorial and commercial fashion product across Apparel, Shoes, Bag, Watch and Jewelry - both on figure and still life. The person will be collaborative, logical, creative, sensitive toward details/trend, and should be able to lead the projects independently. As it will be a key hub role for all the creation projects the person should have a) solid project management skill steering key stakeholders, b) data anlysis/reporting skill to understand customer trend/needs/preference through business data and online testing, as well as c) the ability to translate inspirational and directional styling trends into imagery that is commercial and relevant to a mass, democratic audience.

Key Responsibilities Include
Development & management of ‘Amazon Fashion Brand-Look Code’
Improvement & management of image guideline co-working with Creative Leadership team in GISC
Develop creative brief to direct imaging & creative team for photo/(video) shooting
Collaborate with 4 GLs in JP Fashion to exchange feedback on customer needs
Provide direction to Marketing/PR team to exploit digital/offline media contents
Lead weblab test to make right judgment on creatives
Regular data analysis and reporting
Several year experience in fashion industry (either commercial brands, magazines – online/offline, or creative agency)
Strong leadership/project management skill in light of OLP, in order to effectively work with multi-region / multi-function counterparts
Strong in analytical skill dealing with quantitative data (figures) and qualitative data
Fluent in English in both speaking and writing
Experience of Fashion creative work
Experience of work in international company

· Driving device and accessory unit growth and account profitability in existing accounts. All Japan account managers will report into the Director. Director - Kindle Offline Retail - Amazon - Tokyo


Job description
Amazon opened its virtual doors in 1995 and strives to be the world’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online. We set big goals and are looking for people who can help us reach and exceed them. Kindle is one example of this. We are working to make it possible for consumers to buy any book every printed in any language and have it available to them in less than 60 seconds.
As our Kindle business has grown, we have established off-line partnerships to distribute Kindle devices and accessories. We are looking for a senior leader in Japan to manage all aspects of our offline business across multiple countries. The ideal candidate will have many years of experience closing, managing and growing retail channels for manufacturers. We are building and creating this business as we go, so we need a creative leader with exceptional judgment and the ability to deliver under stressful and ambiguous circumstances.
The position is based in Amazon’s Japan Headquarters in Tokyo and reports to the VP, Kindle Offline Retail in Seattle, US.

Key Responsibilities:
· Hiring, managing and developing a world class team across multiple business functions and geographies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of hiring stars and developing future business leaders from within their organization.
· Driving device and accessory unit growth and account profitability in existing accounts. All Japan account managers will report into the Director. The ideal candidate will have managed accounts and teams of account managers in Japan. They will have a demonstrated record of growing account volumes while simultaneously improving profitability.
· Growing the account base in Japan. We expect the ideal candidate to have experience with business development and be able to identify, sell, and close critical accounts.
· Building a world-class in-store Kindle experience. Retail presentation is paramount to the Kindle brand and the Director must excel in this area. The Customer Experience (CX) team, which is responsible for all aspects of in-store and marketing execution, will report to the Director. The ideal candidate will have experience inventing, building and delivering exceptional point of sale marketing programs that reinforce the Kindle brand promise.
· Managing all aspects of the Kindle wholesale P&L, including inventory, order management, fulfillment, and associated financials. The ideal candidate will have a experience managing all aspects of a consumer electronics wholesale P&L in a rapidly growing and very competitive category.
Desired Skills and Experience
· Minimum 10 years of relevant leadership experience in the Japan retail or wholesale consumer electronics sector preferred
· Strong business judgment with a track record of successfully delivering quantifiable results in a very competitive consumer electronics category, including building and managing critical business relationships
· Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential
· Effective leader and communicator and a seasoned problem-solver. Knowledge of the retail industry is preferred.
· Tenacity to develop ideas independently, thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment and convert ideas into tangible business results is essential for success.
· Oral and written fluency in Japanese and English
· Bachelor's degree is required with Masters preferred
· Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills demonstrated in a high-growth “start-up” environment
· Demonstrated ability to effectively work at all levels of the business – internally and externally
· Master’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred
