
Job Description
This position is responsible to manage suppliers’ performance per Intel’s expectations as stipulated in the master contracts/Standard Operating Procedures/Service Level Guide by using supplier management process and tools. The role is also chartered to drive supplier resolutions on issues with significant impact to logistics operations and stakeholders.
In addition, they will represent logistics in worldwide substrate ocean working groups to drive the ocean transportation mode for substrate as well as capital equipment from Japan. Requires participation and influence in worldwide forums and projects.
Responsibilities
Responsible to ensure all GAR logistics suppliers are performing to Intel’s expectations as stipulated in the master contracts, standard operating plan, and service level guide. Chartered to drive these by using the standard Logistics Incident Follow up Tool (LIFT), Supplier Report Card (SRC) and other relevant supplier management processes. This position is also responsible to support site operations for all supplier management related activities, e.g. issuing of PO, requesting rates for new lanes and facilitating the SRC reviews as well as serving as the supplier escalation point person. In addition, the candidate may also be responsible to lead the geo or site team in the global logistics supplier development, bidding, and transition processes as and when required. This role also requires various project support, and encourages fresh ideas for cost savings, cycle time, and quality improvements.
