Flexera Software is seeking a Director, Connsulting Services in Japan to manage our growing services organization. This individual will drive Flexera’s expanding services business in Japan and directly report to the Vice President of Global Services. This individual will be a key member of the global services leadership team servicing a 'Who’s Who' of the largest enterprise clients in Japan.
Located in the Tokyo area, this individual will be responsible for leading a highly talented group of project managers and consultants to consistently exceed quarterly revenue and margin targets. This individual will have a strong services and sales focus, partnering with the Japan sales team to maximize client value for both software and services.
Headquartered in Schaumburg, IL, Flexera Software focuses on application usage management and serves both software producers and enterprise consumers. Flexera’s key brands include InstallShield and FLEXNet for licensing and entitlement management.
Responsibilities:
• Management of the professional services team in Japan
• Responsible for forecasting and meeting services revenue and profitability targets in Japan
• Collaborate extensively with Sales to position and sell Services as part of the license sale process; drive Services sales independently from license sales
• Monitor Services delivery to ensure work is delivered in a high-quality, repeatable and profitable way
• Manage and build a high performing team of professional services consultants and project managers to ensure successful product implementations in customer environments in Japan
• Establish strong working relationships with Europe , North America and APAC business groups (Finance, Legal, Product Management, Product Development, and Sales) to ensure timely delivery of customer engagements
• Create strong customer-servicing ethos
• Develop strong relationships with larger clients, maintain executive level relationship throughout the implementation and identify license and Services up-sell opportunities
Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience:
• BA or BS degree required. MBA or post-graduate degree preferred (education would ideally be a combination of technical and business qualifications)
• More than 10 years delivering application solutions to the enterprise, including a minimum of 5 years within the software and/or license management industry
• Has minimum of 5 years experience managing a Professional Services practice, including full responsibility for revenue attainment and profitability management
• Detailed understanding of software development and sales required
• Detailed understanding of technical support and account management for enterprise customers required
• Previous experience at a global consulting organization a plus (Accenture, Deloitte, etc.)
• Previous experience at a top 100 software company preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
• Previous revenue attainment and P&L management required.
• Experience working in flexible, open-ended environments with rapidly changing goals and challenges.
• Excellent people management and development skills.
• Strong customer facing and relationship management skills with appropriate negotiation and influencing skills
• Experience interacting with senior management teams
• Enthusiasm to travel and work within Japan
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
• Flexibility to deliver within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
• Fluent in Japanese and English
