
Job description
Director level leadership position with complete responsibility for the implementation of specified GXS integration products and services for the Japan region. Major responsibilities include: effectively managing assigned project managers and related staff to ensure that contracted deliverables occur on a timely basis in accordance with each customer's contract and internal profitability expectations; providing oversight and direction on all aspects of the implementation process; providing client and senior management status reporting as required.
1. Manage assigned project managers and related staff to ensure that contracted deliverables occur on a timely basis in accordance with each customer's contract and internal profitability expectations
2. Staff management -including leadership, guidance, performance evaluations and coaching / mentoring of direct reports
3. Provide oversight and direction on all aspects of the implementation process
4. Establishing client governance for engagements to support client satisfaction
5. Provide client and senior management status reporting and productivity metrics and financials for revenue and expense forecasting as required
6. Provide cross-functional guidance for sales and marketing activities including key client site visits
7. Member of the Japan PS Management team making an active and constructive contribution to the growth, development and efficiency of that group
Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge:
· Strong organizational skills, team leadership skills, and the ability to motivate a team to meet tight project timelines within budgetary constraints, and experience managing P&L
· Very good understanding of B2B / EDI / Supply Chain Management / ERP
Education and Experience:
· Bachelors Degree in Business / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent work experience required . Masters Degree preferred.
· Experience with Microsoft (MS) Project, MS Office Suite, MS Outlook, and other common applications
· PMP Certification is desired
· 10+ years’ experience managing customer or technology related projects as a manager / project manager in a customer interface role using structured project management processes and methodologies
Industry Experience:
· Significant and proven experience managing customer or technology related projects as a manager/project manager
· Experience implementing large and complex creative solutions B2B for customers
· Enthusiastic, creative and energetic. Gravitas, credibility and executive presence
· Excellent communication (both written and verbal), meeting facilitation, interpersonal, and analytical skills, and have the ability to drive projects to successful completion
· Strong business acumen, corporate financial skills, metrics-driven
