Head of Client Services, Japan

The Head of client services gives an overall strategic direction to digital Ad campaign execution for large brand clients in Japan. In this role, you will defines processes, ensures adherence to them and helps managers achieve campaign and sales targets. He/she will be responsible for deep analysis and clear communication of region-level data, and assessing the impact of large, critical campaigns. The Client services Head also works with sales teams and some of the larger clients, and helps streamline campaign managers’ work. Additionally the Ad Operations Head works with HQ product/system team in order to enhance the systemic capacities of Ad network.

Reporting into the GM – Japan you will be responsible for managing all teams focused on supporting the delivery of sales activities in Japan, including CampaignManagement and Creative Services. As a critical function, we are searching for a heavyweight industry professional with a track record in this role and a passion to bring their experience to a hyper-growth business in a fast-growing sector.

Functional Area : Client Servicing

Responsibilities:

Manage teams across Japan responsible for pre- and post-sales operations, including Campaign Management and Creative Services, Work with sales teams to understand client expectations.
Day to day management of mobile display campaigns. Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets are achieved by focusing on efficient and effective delivery of advertising campaigns, Meet and exceeding campaign goals through campaign strategy and optimization.
Work with data to arrive at insights and strategies about campaigns.Assist in the development of custom creative with internal departments and clients, Management of client expectations, communication and reporting metrics.
Help the product management team in designing better products by communicating market realities and expectations.Design, hire and optimise the Client Services team to ensure appropriate coverage of sales activities across the region
Define, implement and monitor key performance indicators to drive a continuous improvement culture, including customer satisfaction, customer retention and campaign performance, Work with publishing team to secure inventories required for meeting the client objectives.
Lead the Ad campaign management team and technical sales support team as senor manager. Work with peers in Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Product Management on business critical initiatives to grow the business, Work with Management Team to perform annual business planning and quarterly refinements
Direct the professional development of the Creative Services and Campaign Management teams, providing goals, performance reviews, mentorship and training on an on-going basis. Develop employee skill sets that align with team needs
Create a “can do” culture and vibrant team culture, where smart creative risk taking is encouraged.

Requirements:

10+ years of ad exec. ( traditional ad or digital ad), online media, or other advertising experience and knowledge of online ad serving (Mobile advertising experience a strong plus).
Proven track-record managing similarteams and functions across Japan in the digital advertising sector.
Demonstrable ability to build strong client relationships at the highest level.
Technically savvy and directexperience with advertising technology solutions is critical; ability to definetechnology solutions to business problems
Passion for managing teams in adynamic and fast paced environment
Demonstrable ability to comprehendand support complex business operations, and drive efficiencies through processimprovements and automation
Personal work characteristics whichinspire the best in customer service, with attention to detail, follow throughattitude, multi-tasking in a fast pace environment, collaboration with internalteams and insightful problem solving
Experience in the fundamentals ofadvertising technology, such as ad serving, ad tags, performance advertisingand Rich Media
Experience working with ExecutiveTeams with strong executive communication and presentation skills
Understanding of the overall mediaand measurement/analytics landscape, online advertising and marketing trends.
Able to act as a strong evangelist for InMobi withinthe industry, educating and convincing clients about the benefits of mobileadvertising as a new media
Team player with a positive and dynamic personality,excellent communication and presentation skills, strong planning andorganisational capabilities
Operationally focused and results driven, withlittle supervision required
Faultless communication, written and verbal.Fluent both Japanese and English.
A passion for digital technology, advertising andstart-ups.Comfort and experience with a fast paced start-up environment.
