About this position

As the Inside Sales Representative for Evernote Business based in the Evernote office in Tokyo, Japan, you will play an instrumental role in Evernote's ongoing growth by helping Japanese SMBs understand the value of the Evernote Business product. You should be smart, driven, enjoy solving client problems, and take pride in initiating lasting relationships.

Responsibilities:


Prospect new clients and respond to inbound customer requests

Proactively approach potential customers via email, telephone, and other communication methods

Build and manage a sales pipeline; own sales cycle from lead to close

Educate business customers about the value of Evernote with a mix of product demos, technical answers, and insightful product recommendations.

Secure long-term Evernote clients by ensuring that there is a strong fit between Evernote's capabilities and the needs of the customer

Assess and provide feedback and action plans for continuous improvement based on sales process metrics covering lead generation through qualification and on to close

Work closely with Sales Team to develop and deliver trainings and deployment assistance programs (post sales), adapting resources as needed from US to suit needs of Japanese customers, ensuring ongoing usage (and seat count growth) of Evernote Business within customer base

Work with Sales team to continuously evaluate existing lead generation processes and develop new ones

Implement and continuously improve sales processes


Skills and Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree.

You should have 1-3 years experience in a sales position in the tech industry and ambition to take on more responsibility

Enjoy making phone calls and explaining the value of Evernote Business

Exceptional communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken Japanese as well as English language skills are necessary to communicate effectively with Evernote's cross functional teams

Strong familiarity with Evernote and confidence in ability to explain feature functionality, scenario-based use-cases, and limitations to a non-user

Exceptional communication and consultative skills

Understanding of common sales measurement metrics and analytics and familiarity with common sales lifecycle management tools

Comfortable with all forms of customer communication tools that may be used as part of the sales process

Strong passion for and knowledge of the Internet and SaaS industry

Ability to thrive individually and as a team-player in a competitive, fast-paced environment
