Legal Director - APAC - Criteo - Tokyo


Job description

As Legal Director for the APAC region, you will advise on regional corporate agreements, commercial agreements and privacy related matters. You will also support the entire APAC team and coordinate external law firms. You will report to the General Counsel based in Paris and give advice to ensure consistency and compliance with all applicable regulations and Criteo policies.

Responsibilities:

Play an active role in new market entry projects to ensure compliance with local government policies and corporate regulations.
Engage and manage relationships with external law firms regionally.
Manage and implement company policies and legal process including signature and validation of agreements.
Train business teams on all privacy related matters, compliance and general business law including local online advertising regulation.
Review and negotiate internally and with partners Criteo commercial agreements (including advertisers, BD and NDAs).

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements:

4 year University Law degree. LLM highly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast growing and international company and/or law firm.
Experience with China government policy and corporate regulations preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to create strong business relationships and ensure compliance across the organization.
Commercial/business acumen and ability to act as trusted business partner with commercial teams.
Independent, with a high degree of business and legal judgment, ability to convince at senior executive level and to lead projects.
Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and effectively manage multiple projects at one time.
Demonstrated ability to adopt and learn new technologies.
Fluency in English is a must (TOEIC minimum 850+).
