Job Title: Fulfilment Logistics Director

Role Responsibilities:
The candidate will manage Fulfilment Logistics operations. The responsibilities include developing supplier relationships, establishing logistics optimization strategies, and leading a team engaged in the day to day fulfilment of finished goods to the consumer and commercial customers. The role includes developing performance goals/metrics to improve the total delivered/lifecycle value in regards to logistics cost, quality, and services. In addition the responsibilities include implementing process improvements, business continuity plans, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The candidate will :

· Direct the team in the achievement of the Regional logistics operational objectives
· Managing, hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce.
· Responsible for career development/planning and performance discussions of team members.
· Accountable for improving supplier performance.
· Implements Global Fulfilment Logistics policies and procedures
· Drives cross-functional strategic/operational Regional and/or Global teams to bring Dell a competitive advantage in the market place in specific areas such as Delivery, Capacity, Cost, Quality, and Service Level.
· Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
· Directly leads the finished goods delivery and the distressed orders team.
· Drives development and implementation of tools and processes to improve management practices for logistics operations and/or spend categories, and shares that learning with other groups
· Implement tactical & strategic changes e.g. Oracle Transportation Management integration
· Calibrates and shares best practices with counterparts across the globe.



QualificationsRole Requirements:

· Fluent in English, with working knowledge of Japanese and/or Mandrin
This role requires a broad level of experience and understanding of Fulfilment Logistics and the supply chain.
· 8 + years of progressive experience in managing, leading teams through operational responsibility, consulting, financial or procurement.
· Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated expertise in problem solving and change management.
· Excellent interpersonal communication with international teams, negotiation and organizational skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations quickly.
· Demonstrated strategic leadership, and business acumen skills.

· Global frieght management a distinctive advantge.
· Ability to direct & lead teams to ensure the Logistics organization remains a market leader by staying abreast of and anticipating industry trends.
· Ability to travel is required, 25% expected

Preferences:
· A broad level of experience and understanding of strategic supply chain management, 3rd party logistics, fulfilment best practices, Ocean, Air, Rail Transport logistics, and key supplier relationship management is desired.
· Logistics industry experience is strongly desired
· Financial and analytical background though not necessary but would be a bonus.
· Degree level education, MBA preferred. Lean and Six Sigma experience a plus.
