Director - Field Marketing - Juniper Networks - Tokyo


Job description
This role leads the creation and development of marketing strategies for the Japan market. It requires partnering with Sales, Technical, APAC Theater and Corporate Marketing teams to build and execute plans to develop:

- vertically focused accounts with an account based marketing framework

- create demand in the Commercial market through and with Distribution channel

- thought leadership and demand generation strategies in the Telecom space

Key responsibilities include:

· Developing the go-to-market strategies to engage, grow and deepen Juniper relationships in vertical focus accounts

· Developing Partner marketing plans and programs focused on growing commercial market which includes distribution and 2tier channel

· Drive the development, planning and execution of solution driven campaigns that increase awareness, preference and demand for Juniper

· Manage PR, Web, Social and Digital strategies for Japan market

· Work collaboratively with APAC and WW Marketing peers in Account Based Marketing (ABM) framework development for vertical accounts in Enterprise and Service Provider

· Support the APAC Marketing VP in setting and reporting on marketing metrics

· Report and advocate Japan marketing to regional marketing VP and APAC Sales teams and other marketing/services/partner stakeholders

Qualifications required:

Minimum of 10+ years marketing experience.
An ability to excel with limited direction/supervision
The successful candidate will be able to balance the differing priorities between sales and marketing to drive sales engagement and alignment on key marketing initiatives.
People management experience
Ability to develop Japan marketing strategy and direct team to execute
Strong Japanese and English language skills; strong communicator
Strong collaboration skills to interact and influence key stakeholders in key/major account sales, business groups and marketing to drive the execution of key programs such as account base marketing (ABM) against Juniper key/major accounts in APAC
Analytical skills to develop, measure and track program/campaign KPIs and metrics.
Strong business acumen to actively participate in Sales/business discussions
University graduate with a bachelor degree. (MBA will be an advantage)
Ability to travel : around 25%, 2-3 trips minimum each Qtr.


Above performance goals will expect candidate to have excellent marketing skills and business acumen in designing and developing comprehensive go to market programs starting with program goals, target market, identifying relevant routes to market, creating training and sales tools/enablement resources, designing sales calls to actions, developing relevant customer offers, driving program execution and establishing metrics to measure and track program effectiveness.
