Product Marketing Manager, B2C - Google - Tokyo


Job description
As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. The role enables you to shape the product development process, organize product launches from beginning to end and form future marketing strategy.
The retail marketing team is tasked with bringing Google products to users in partners’ retail spaces. This team is developing new designs, experiences, and technologies to showcase the best of Google, as well as Google-branded hardware. We are working across Google teams and in partnership with retailers, operators, and other channel partners.

Responsibilities
Manages partner relations: updating partners on device plans, collecting and channelling partner asks and info, collecting sales and other data from partners, working with partners on and account plans.
Manages co-marketing activities and executes activities driving awareness and footfall, including in-store events, custom in-store placements, PR events, product launches, seasonal promotions.
Manages local operations, including store planning (scoping and prioritizing new in-store presences, adapting designs to fit individual stores, store-level installation/requirements, working w agency, detailers, and partners on launch execution), local operations. QA of in-store deployments.
Drives field marketing execution: local training and staffing, including hiring a local training team, planning and optimizing local staffing, organizing training events w local partner, and optimizing user education events schedule.



Minimum Qualifications

BA or BS Degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of retail marketing or partner marketing.
Speak and write English and Japanese fluently and idiomatically.


Preferred Qualifications

Passion for retail.
In-depth knowledge of the mobile & computing landscape and Google’s position. Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with external partners.
Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced environment and to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and constantly evolving context.
Excellent written and oral presentation skills. Comfortable presenting to audiences of senior decision makers.
Excellent project management skills, with ability to track multiple simultaneous projects and deliverables.
