Senior Community Manager - Membership Team - World Economic Forum - Tokyo


Job description
Based in Tokyo, you will support the Head of the Membership Team in Japan, developing a strong value proposition for Members of the World Economic Forum.
As a Senior Community Manager for the Japanese business sector, you will:
• Build business memberships and partnerships for the World Economic Forum in Japan
• Support the engagement, management and retention of regional Members and Partners. This includes identifying core areas of interest for the Japanese business community and building sustainable engagement programmes on those issues
• Be responsible for day-to-day administrative and logistical support and coordinator for Partner/Member companies in Japan
• Co-develop the value proposition that the Forum offers to the Japanese business sector, including building programmes for Japan and generating cutting-edge knowledge related to the Japanese business context in collaboration with colleagues from relevant teams (i.e. Industry, Risk, Competitiveness, Global Agenda Councils, Scenarios, Government Outreach) and external Partners
• Monitor and evaluate business developments, media reports and policy changes that impact Japanese business leaders
• Ensure Members are well integrated into the overall work of the Forum

Desired Skills and Experience
You have a minimum of three years of professional experience in a leadership role, including relevant exposure to Japan. You also have a proven track record of effectively working with senior management and the intellectual maturity necessary to work with board-level executives.
You possess a broad intellectual background with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in international relations, public policy, economics or business. You have native-level proficiency in spoken and written English and Japanese, and possess strategic and creative skills in research, writing and presentation. You are motivated to work in a highly dynamic setting, requiring outstanding results under pressure.

As such, you will be fully integrated in the World Economic Forum and benefit from an intensive work and learning experience intended to develop and train future leaders of global enterprises and international organizations.
