Project Director - PSD Group - Hong Kong
Job description
This is a newly created Project Director role to work for one of the world’s leading leisure organisations as they embark on an ambitious growth strategy across the region.
You will be tasked to ensure that each new major site is designed and built ensuring the maximum value from each $ spent.
You will have responsibility to ensure that once a new site has been identified that you strategically plan to ensure that the ‘professional team’ is established with the correct skill set to meet the challenges of that new location. You will then manage the project through to completion covering the operations, marketing, financial, development and people areas and deliver a project to meet or even exceed the Group’s expectations.
Key Objectives:
Assisted by local Project Management teams to ensure the delivery of multiple new Projects.
Through recruitment, training and mentoring continue to develop the ‘in-house’ project management resources and the external project management key partners to ensure that the needs of the business are met.
Establish and continue to develop a portfolio of external ‘professional partners and suppliers’ whose use must be balanced with the internal resources to ensure that the development goals of the Group are met and achieved in the most efficient and productive manner.
Through close liaison with the site search team, associated professionals, local politicians, planners etc, to ensure that the feasibility of all potential new sites is thoroughly investigated and tracked, in particular in terms of feasibility, cost, lease conditions and planning.
To deliver a smooth handover to the operating group, conducting all appropriate training, performing all snagging / punch lists, and providing all necessary documentation so the business may operate effectively from day one.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be considered for this opportunity you must have relevant qualifications and proven SE/NE Asia Project management experience most likely from a retail/hospitality/travel/leisure background.
With at least 10 – 15 years Property/Real Estate Project Management experience, you will be comfortable leading and delivering large scale projects and meeting high expectations
As a member of the regional executive team, you must have the gravitas, confidence and communication ability to build relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
As this is a regional role, native or high fluency English is essential.
