Small Business - SMB - Insights Manager - Facebook - Tokyo

Job description

The SMB team contributes directly to this mission by connecting every small business in the world with their customers on Facebook and then helping them grow through solutions like pages and advertising. We succeed when we help our customers grow their business. This role will work with the SMB team in Tokyo to understand diverse customer needs and translate those findings into marketing outreach and service offerings. The ideal candidate will be a proactive partner that excels in an environment where data collection, collaboration, exploration of opportunity and delivery of actionable insight is valued. This position is full-time and located in our Tokyo, Japan office.

Responsibilities
Analyze metrics to optimize conversion and engagement rates for new prospects and customers to drive revenue improvement
Identify opportunities to improve ad products and the customer experience and drive decision-making with ad-hoc analysis
Configure and monitor data pipelines necessary to support the team’s decision making
Design and implement test plans (A/B and multivariate) to understand drivers of response and value
Analyze and communicate results in order to rapidly scale successful programs
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner

Requirements
5+ years of experience in business strategy, finance, or analytics
BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field. Advanced degrees preferred
Fluency in SQL
Understanding of statistical analysis, experience with packages such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc. preferred
Experience with SMB landscape and/or online marketing and advertising a plus
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and communicate technical content to general audiences
Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Experience designing simple and intuitive user interfaces – ability to create examples through wire frames and mock ups
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage tasks within a fast-paced environment
Native fluency in Japanese, business fluency in English
