Regional Product Marketing Manager - Android - Nexus - APAC - Google - Tokyo


Job description
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will own the marketing strategy and execution with Google consumer products and be responsible for driving product awareness and usage. You have a strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, design and execute promotional campaigns, work with product teams to launch new products, liaise with partners on co-marketing initiatives, and work with external agencies on creative and event-based projects. Furthermore, you will work closely with Google's sales, product and partnerships teams to build Google's business in a fast, start-up like environment.
You will be responsible for setting and driving the Google’s Android and Nexus marketing activities in APAC. You will work closely with our country marketing managers, head of Android/Nexus marketing in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, and the global Android/Nexus marketing team to build strategic plans, execute high impact campaigns, and track results. Key focus will be driving customer engagement for Google’s line of hardware devices for the region. As the scope of the role grows, you will build co-marketing collaborations with key retailers, mobile operators, OEMs, and developer partners to further grow the ecosystem.

Responsibilities
Spearhead the launches and growth of Nexus line of devices in APAC, building positioning messages, planning execution, and overseeing the overall success of Google’s hardware business.
Drive engagements with key retailers, mobile operators, developers and OEM partners in APAC to promote Nexus and Google Play services.
Be the steward of the Google and Android brands in APAC, educating and guiding our partners and team.
Within the Android marketing and product teams, be the voice of users in APAC, showcasing the unique needs of this region and shepherding product development that can best serve the needs of users in the region.

Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Speak and write English fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA degree.
Understanding of Google's strategic, competitive position, search, online advertising, or web publishing markets.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a high degree of analytical rigor.
Solid organizational skills with ability to manage and coordinate projects that span multiple locations.
Business fluency in additional Asian languages greatly valued.
