Manager - Store Operations - Google - Tokyo
Job description

Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.
As the Manager of Store Operations, Tokyo, under the guidance of the Head of Regional Store Operations, APAC, you are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the Google in-store activities for Tokyo. This includes, Carrier Retailers, Big Box and other Consumer Electronics and Specialty Retailers.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day store operations for Google’s in-country retail presence.
Ensure the successful implementation and on-going management of all customer programs, customer experience roll-outs and new products and services.
Ensure that consumer insights are collected and elevated to the regional and corporate teams in actionable formats to drive the business forward, in conjunction with third party providers.
Take responsibility for the vendor management of third party resources to deliver upon SLAs and terms of contracts.
Help build a portfolio of high-performing doors that consistently meet standards for merchandising, compliance and other key performance metrics that drive growth, an enhanced customer experience as well deep customer loyalty of the Google Hardware Portfolio (Android, Nexus and future platform of devices).
Minimum qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of project management and vendor management experience.
5 years of experience working with Retail Systems.
Preferred qualifications
MBA degree.
Experience in store operations and vendor management.
Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and product management.
Background in Retail (FCMG, Small Format and other New Formats).
Background in customer communications and policies.
Background in contract discussions.
