Team Lead, YouTube Consumer and Commerce Operations - Google - Tokyo

This position is based in Tokyo, Japan.
The area: YouTube and Video
The first video posted on YouTube was a 19-second clip called "Me at the Zoo." Today, more than 48 hours of video are uploaded every minute. The YouTube and Video team helps budding filmmakers and musicians build careers, creates products like Google TV and YouTube Live and runs collaborative projects like Life in a Day and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra. We are leading a change in how we entertain, inform and share with one another, whether through cat videos or footage of a revolution in progress.
The role: Team Lead, YouTube Consumer and Commerce Operations
As a Team Lead, you will be leading YouTube initiatives for Consumer and Commerce Operations for the APAC region. You have a strong interest in YouTube and understand the needs of YouTube users in APAC. As the regional point of contact for the Consumer and Commerce teams, you will be the voice of the user to internal stakeholders and help drive product improvements and features for the region. You will also help manage vendor operations to ensure that YouTube can get the best value and continue to invest in customer relationships. You are a top performer who will quickly adapt and respond to industry changes as well as internal initiatives. You are someone who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-growing technical environment. You have operational savvy, a ‘get it done’ personality, the ability to make smart, independent decisions and the willingness to manage deliverables across teams and priorities.
Responsibilities:
Conduct analysis on market specific user issues, aggregate feedback, and communicate to global internal stakeholders including User Operations counterparts, Product Management & Engineering to drive product improvement.
Be a regional product specialist and troubleshoot technical problems, reproduce issues, escalate bug reports, proactively identify customer problems and develop creative solutions.
Provide strategic insight into YouTube Consumer needs and consult Product Management on product direction.
Manage vendor contact center operations and work closely with the YouTube/Google teams to ensure high quality, efficient, support operations as well as track and manage; spend, service level agreements (SLAs) and vendor performance for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
4 years relevant work experience, including 2 years industry experience in User Operations. Preferred Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience, strategy development, team building and process improvement.
Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, global, and collaborative environment.
Commitment to continuous improvement, motivated 'can-do' attitude, and results-oriented.
Fluency in Japanese and English.
