The first video posted on YouTube was a 19-second clip called "Me at the Zoo." Today, more than 48 hours of video are uploaded every minute. The YouTube and Video team helps budding filmmakers and musicians build careers, creates products like Google TV and YouTube Live and runs collaborative projects like Life in a Day and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra. We are leading a change in how we entertain, inform and share with one another, whether through cat videos or footage of a revolution in progress.
The role: YouTube Next Lab Studio Operations and Program Production Manager
As the YouTube Next Lab Studio Operations and Program Production Manager you will drive the day to day strategic and operational planning of the YouTube NextLab Studio in Tokyo, and the educational and creative programs for which the studio will play host. You will be supporting a wide range of creators through workshops, events, mentorships, live-streaming, Google hangouts and providing access to our studio resources. You'll be expected to manage internal NextLab content and audience development resources, and external production resources, including cameramen, editors, and production assistants as we tell the story of the YouTube Next Lab and our creators. You will also work cross-functionally with the partnership management team, partner marketing and PR. Most importantly, a penchant for the web as a new entertainment medium, a motivation to experiment and learn from new techniques, and an understanding of how to stimulate the creation of original content, will be key to success in the role.

Responsibilities:
Own and manage YouTube Next Lab's Tokyo events and programming - workshops, office hours, creator clubs, support of original programming initiatives, internal and external speakers and liaise with Global Studio Ops Manager in LA, and other teams in New York and London.
Oversee a production team tasked to capturing every event and telling the story of the NextLab in Asia, including following the best practices recommended by the YouTube NextLab in our own videos and social media.
Liaise with key industry players and partner with external organizations on key workshops, events, and programming.
Create a consistent social media strategy.
Organizing, developing and implementing a plan to align with brand objectives and editorial voice and work closely with YouTube's social media team. Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 5 years of relevant experience).
5 years of TV, film, or online video production and studio management experience. Preferred

Qualifications:
Strong people and project management experience.
Experience producing video and working with small production crews.
Hands-on experience communicating with or managing talent, a working knowledge of Final Cut Pro or other editing platforms, professional cameras, lighting and sound equipment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills - verbal and written.
Fluency in Japanese and English.
